Loved and Accepted People Have Less Value for Possessions

A new study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology has determined that people who get lots of love and acceptance from others value their possessions less. Materialism is linked to comfort. However researchers from the University of New Hampshire and Yale University have gauged the monetary value of people's belongings in relation to how loved and secure they feel.
